A Heartfelt Retirement Announcement from Dr. Rodney Holcombe

Dear Friends,

After 39 years in dentistry and 38 of those here in Tampa, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the privilege of being your dentist. Your trust and confidence in me and my team have been both professionally rewarding and personally humbling. The relationships I have formed with so many of you have become a meaningful part of my life, and I will always be grateful to consider you not only patients, but friends.

After much thought and admittedly, a little hesitation, I have decided that it is time to hand over the reins and transition into this next chapter of my life.

It is incredibly important to me that this transition leaves you in caring, capable and highly competent hands. After a thorough and thoughtful search, I am pleased to have Dr. Sheffield and Dr. Elikofer. I am confident they share our philosophy of providing the compassionate, high-quality dental care you have come to expect and deserve. They are the right team to carry our practice forward while honoring the legacy we have built together.

Dr. Sheffield earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan and is a proud Florida native who grew up in Temple Terrace. Dr. Elikofer, originally from Indiana, earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Indiana University. They are married and have a beautiful two-year-old daughter who keeps them both on their toes! Together, they bring extensive knowledge, a genuine passion for dentistry, and a shared commitment to treating every patient with kindness, respect, and personalized attention. I look forward to introducing them to each of you and watching them become a meaningful part of this wonderful community.

Thank you for your loyalty, trust and friendship throughout the years. Serving this community has been one of the greatest joys of my life, and I am excited about what lies ahead for the practice, for each of you, and for me.
